On Sunday, October 4, two Los Angeles event listings carried Young Thug’s name. The first was for a concert at YouTube Theater in Inglewood. The second advertised a Trap Rave afterparty at The Mayan downtown. Read together, they show how YSL’s New Generation Tour was being presented beyond a single stage.
Two Rooms, One Night
YouTube Theater listed “YSL Records & Young Thug Present: The New Generation Tour” for October 4 at 8 p.m., with NAV as support. The venue’s own description identifies Young Thug as founder and CEO of Young Stoner Life Records. The tour title makes a promise: the next artists are part of the story, alongside the name that built the label.
Trap Rave’s organizer listing advertised “Young Thug & YSL live in Los Angeles” at The Mayan from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. It called the night an official tour afterparty and listed Young Thug with DIAMOND*, 1300SAINT, TEZZUS, IYRUS, YUME, BIGGS and UNKY. The Mayan’s calendar separately carried a Trap Rave event under a “Young Thug & ØWAY” title. The naming differs, but both listings point to Trap Rave at the same venue on October 4.
The concert’s advertised start and the afterparty’s doors overlap. Those listings establish the plan, not an exact path Young Thug took between venues or the time anyone reached the downtown stage. The Trap Rave page included a scheduled Young Thug window later in the night; a schedule is still an announcement, rather than proof of a completed set.
The Next Wave Is the Point
The afterparty bill matters because it did more than use a headliner’s name. It placed a developing group of artists around him. A venue description for the tour’s Paris date names Diamond*, Tezzus, 1300SAINT, Yume, Iyrus, Biggs and Unky as the newer YSL artists presented alongside Young Thug. Trap Rave’s Los Angeles listing names that same circle. The tour’s “New Generation” language therefore has a roster attached to it, rather than being only a slogan.
That is the editorial tension in the billing. A theater can introduce a label’s catalog at scale. An afterparty can put established and emerging names into a closer room, where the audience sees the relationships between them. The public listings show an effort to carry the label’s identity across those formats. They do not tell us how the crowd responded or which artists actually shared a stage.
The Mayan, Downtown
The Trap Rave listing put the night at The Mayan, 1038 S. Hill Street, with an 18-and-over admission notice. Its description presented the venue as the tour’s Los Angeles afterparty destination. The address matters to this story because it makes the move legible: the scheduled concert was in Inglewood; the advertised gathering was in downtown Los Angeles.
This was also ComplexCon weekend in Los Angeles. Complex’s event guide placed its October 4 marketplace and concert program downtown. Other promoters were working the same night, including Code Red’s separate Lil Pump bill, which we examined through NVBEEL’s documented credits and residencies. These were distinct organizers and distinct events. The shared date shows a city full of overlapping music audiences; it does not establish a joint production or artist collaboration.
What the Record Shows
The verified public record is clear on the bookings: Young Thug’s tour stop was listed at YouTube Theater; Trap Rave billed Young Thug and YSL at The Mayan; the organizer named the supporting artists and called its event a tour afterparty. That is enough to see the commercial and cultural shape of the night: a label using a major concert and a smaller downtown event to introduce its next wave.
What the listings cannot settle is the outcome. This account does not claim firsthand attendance, a confirmed performance at The Mayan, a specific set list, or an artist interview. Footage and accounts from the people in the room could add that chapter. Until then, the strongest story is what the organizers chose to put in public: Young Thug at the center, with YSL’s developing roster visible around him.
This feature distinguishes advertised plans from witnessed events. The YouTube Theater tour listing, Trap Rave organizer listing, Mayan calendar and tour venue roster description support the factual details above. No photos or flyer art from those sources are republished.
